Deposits, instalments and final balances

A clear payment schedule makes it easier to see what has been requested, what has been paid and which project stage each payment relates to.

Payments and instalments

A recorded payment trail linked to the project

Where the installer uses connected project payments, money is processed through the installer’s own connected Stripe account. My New Driveway records the request, invoice and payment event but does not describe the arrangement as escrow.

Deposit

The deposit request can be tied to the accepted quote and contract.

Instalments

Scheduled payments can be linked to dates or project milestones.

Variations

Approved changes can create separate variation invoices instead of obscuring the original contract value.

Receipts

Successful payments create records that remain in the customer document library.

Before paying

  • Check the accepted quote version and specification.
  • Understand what the requested payment covers.
  • Check any variation before paying an increased amount.
  • Keep the invoice and payment receipt in the project document library.
  • Use the concern route if the recorded stage and payment request do not match what you understand has happened.
