This Privacy Policy explains how My New Driveway collects, uses, stores and shares personal information across every part of the website, including driveway estimates and quote requests, contact forms, email verification, the AI visualiser, maps and address lookup, installer applications, installer matching, payments, marketing and general website use.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
My New Driveway operates this website and its driveway estimating, visualisation, installer-directory and installer-matching services. For personal information handled through the website, the website operator is the data controller unless an installer or another organisation explains that it is acting as a separate controller for its own use of your information.
For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email info@mynewdriveway.co.uk or use our contact form.
2. Personal information we collect
Quote and estimate details
Your name, email address, telephone number, property address or postcode, driveway size, measurements, current surface, chosen finish, preparation choice, access, slope, drainage, walls, steps, budget, timescale, answers, notes, estimate range, form progress and enquiry status.
Contact form submissions
Your name, email address, telephone number where supplied, subject, message, attachments, date and time, source page, our replies and any follow-up correspondence.
Verification information
Email-validation result, verification code status, the time and number of verification attempts, and the outcome of any manual telephone check. We do not need your email password.
Visualiser and uploaded media
Photographs or other images you upload, the material and style selected, instructions, generated images, AI observations, generation status and links between a visualiser request and an estimate.
Maps, address and property information
Addresses selected through autocomplete, postcode, map coordinates, map interactions, approximate area or boundary information and publicly available property or business-location information returned by mapping services.
Installer and business information
Contact and company details, service areas, profile content, insurance or verification evidence, public reviews, Companies House or Google Business information, applications, account activity, leads, purchases, support and dispute records.
Payments and transactions
Billing name and address, transaction references, purchased lead or service, amount, currency, payment status, refunds and accounting records. Card details are normally collected directly by the payment provider rather than stored by us.
Technical, security and marketing information
IP address, browser, device, operating system, logs, page visits, referring page, campaign details, cookie or consent choices, form-abuse signals, unsubscribe status and information about how the website is used.
We usually collect information directly from you. We may also receive it from approved installers, payment and verification providers, mapping services, analytics tools, public registers, public business profiles, referral links and other people acting with your authority.
3. Quote requests, incomplete estimates and contact forms
When you start or complete a driveway estimate, we use the details you enter to save your progress, calculate an indicative price range, verify the enquiry, send your verification code, respond to the request and, once the required checks are complete, make the enquiry available to an approved installer or the installer you select.
An estimate can be stored before every step is completed. This allows the form to continue on the dedicated quote page, restore progress and prevent duplicate records. Incomplete estimates may include the contact details and answers already supplied. They are not treated as completed installer enquiries unless the required verification and submission stages are finished.
When you submit a general contact form, we use the information to understand and answer your message, keep a record of the enquiry, prevent abuse and deal with any related support, complaint or dispute. Contact form information is not automatically released to installers unless your message asks us to arrange an installer or it is otherwise necessary to fulfil your request.
4. Email verification and manual telephone checks
We may send an email address to Reoon to check whether it appears deliverable and suitable for receiving messages. We may also send a short letter-and-number verification code to the address you supplied. The telephone number is collected so that we can carry out a manual check where required. These checks help us reduce mistyped, false, duplicate or abusive enquiries and protect installers from invalid leads.
A failed email check or incorrect code may prevent the quote request from progressing. You can try another valid email address or contact us if you believe the result is wrong.
5. AI visualiser, image analysis and automated calculations
The remote estimate is calculated from the answers and measurements supplied, preparation assumptions, configured material rates and any applicable pricing rules. It is an indicative guide, not a binding quotation. A physical survey and final installer quotation may produce a different result.
Where the relevant feature and consent are used, uploaded images and instructions may be sent to OpenAI or another configured AI provider to produce visual concepts or advisory observations. Generated images can be inaccurate and are for illustration only.
We do not use the estimate or visualiser to make a solely automated decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you. An installer decides whether to accept an enquiry and is responsible for its own survey, specification and final quotation.

8. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where a restricted transfer takes place, we aim to use a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an approved UK Addendum, as applicable.
9. How long we keep information
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, taking account of the enquiry status, security needs, installer relationship, transactions, complaints, legal claims and statutory record-keeping duties.
- Verification codes expire after the short validity period set by the service. Verification and anti-abuse logs may be retained for longer where needed for security.
- Incomplete estimates may be cleared when they are no longer needed. Records connected to a completed or qualified enquiry are retained separately.
- Contact form submissions and support correspondence are normally kept for as long as needed to answer and manage the matter, and longer where they relate to a complaint, dispute or legal claim.
- Visualiser source and generated images are normally retained for the configured visualiser period, which is 30 days by default and may be set between 1 and 90 days.
- Completed enquiries, installer records, payment records, invoices, refunds and disputes may be retained for up to six years after the relevant transaction or relationship where needed for tax, accounting or legal claims.
- Marketing details are kept until you unsubscribe or they are no longer needed. A limited suppression record may be retained so that we continue to honour your opt-out.
10. Security
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information. These may include restricted administration access, verification tokens, access controls, software updates, security logging, backups and limiting data shared with providers. No online service can guarantee complete security, so only upload information that is needed for your driveway request.
11. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and information about how it is used. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing.
Send a request to info@mynewdriveway.co.uk. We may ask for reasonable proof of identity. Rights can be subject to legal exemptions and are not always absolute.
12. Data protection complaints
You can complain about our use of your personal information by emailing info@mynewdriveway.co.uk or using the contact form. We will acknowledge a data protection complaint within 30 days, investigate it appropriately and tell you the outcome.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Information is available at ico.org.uk.
13. Children, cookies and policy changes
The quote, visualiser and installer services are intended for adults arranging work at a property. We do not knowingly seek personal information from anyone under 18.
Cookies, local storage, maps and optional measurement technologies are explained in our Cookie Policy. We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, providers or law changes. The latest version will appear here with a revised date.
